What is Bears On Bikes?

Bears On Bikes will strive to be an online destination about Mountain Biking (MTB) for all, not just the GLTB community but friends of the GLBT community as well. Our purpose is to bring together members of the community who enjoy spending time hitting the trails on their mountain bikes, and to encourage folks who may just be thinking about biking to come out and join us. Don't let the typical GLBT definition of a "Bear" sway you away. For our purpose, the term "Bear" is expanded to welcome all in the MTB community. The common theme is MTB'ing. Including, but not limited to: age, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or economic status. The main thing to keep in mind is to ride hard, ride safe and have fun. 

In the future, will be featuring articles and links on bike maintenance,  MTB techniques, trail destinations, and maybe even some articles about learning to live just a little bit healthier. Don't know how to get your bike shifting properly?  Can't seem to figure out how to bunny hop a log?  You will be able to look here for articles and links that will help maximize your riding enjoyment.  If you have, or would like to put together an article or essay that you would like to see here, please register on this webiste. Once you register, send an administrator a message that you would like to submit articles for Bears on Bikes. Try to include a picture or two as well. 
   

You'll find Bears On Bikes to be a great place to discuss a wide variety of topics with the community. Got a question you can't find an answer? Looking for others to ride on trails? Chances are someone else in the group may have that answer or looking for other riders. We will be adding forums, so that you can post questions or comments concerning MTB'ing and participate in lively discussions there.  We all know that bears like to travel; wouldn't it be great to arrange a meetup and ride with some new buds on your next trip?  You will be able to use our forums to help make that happen.

Pictures, pictures, pictures! We will encourage you to post and share pictures of you and your buddies riding, your new bike, your post ride antics, or anything that is bike related. Nothing helps to foster enthusiasm and bring a community together like a gallery of great pictures.
